Obituary of Scott Molenaro

Please share a memory of Scott to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Scott James Molenaro, a devoted husband, loving father, beloved uncle  and cherished son, passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 53. Born on January 23, 1971, in Paterson, New Jersey, Scott grew up in Totowa and later made his home in Bloomingdale, NJ, where he built a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.

Scott is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Molenaro, and their two wonderful children, Amelia and Gavin, who were the center of his world. He was the cherished son of James and Sandra Molenaro and a devoted brother to Jamie D’Agostino and her husband, Frank. Scott was also a beloved son-in-law to Joan Ward and a caring brother-in-law to Karen Lassell.

He was a proud uncle to David Martin, Ashley and Travis Christmann, Kristen Lassell, and to Denise and Joyce Oricchio. He was predeceased by his beloved uncle Philip. Scott also shared a close bond with his cousins Marc and Dorene Molenaro, Melissa and Brian Giordano, Dina and Chuck Barhorst, and Amy and Dan Wugman, as well as cousin-in-laws Jonathan and Kimberly Fiore, Brian Fiore, and Cherilyn Fiore. He leaves behind many other cherished family members and friends who will miss him dearly.

Scott dedicated his professional life as a talented graphic designer at Alpha Graphics in Montvale, NJ, where his creativity and passion were evident in every project he worked on.

Outside of work, Scott enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid golfer, a passionate football fan, and a devoted supporter of the New Jersey Devils hockey team. Whether hitting the golf course, cheering on his favorite teams, or spending quality time with loved ones, Scott’s warmth, kindness, and infectious humor left a lasting impact on everyone around him.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at Keri-Lozito Funeral Home, 125 Main Street, Lincoln Park, NJ, on Thursday, January 23, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A funeral mass to celebrate Scott’s life will be held on Friday, January 24, 2025, at 11:00 AM (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH) at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, 31 Pompton Avenue, Pompton Lakes, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Scott’s memory to St. Judes Childrens Hospital or FOWA Rescue, an animal rescue organization in Wayne, NJ.

Scott will be deeply missed, but his love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.

May he rest in peace.
